After five moves in eight years, Shine a Light has finally secured a permanent home in Rugby.
This is a huge step for us and for the children and families affected by childhood cancer who rely on our support. For the first time, we have the opportunity to create a centre that really feels like home — with counselling and play therapy rooms, a community café, spaces for activities and somewhere families can come to be with people who understand what they are going through.
But we can’t do it without help.
The building needs a huge amount of work before we can open it properly, and we are trying to raise £80,000 towards the renovation and fit-out.
We know that is a big ask, but every donation really does make a difference. Whether it’s £10, £50, £500 or more, it all helps us get closer to opening the doors and welcoming families into the new centre.
